Overall, I thought Casey did a good job playing the tutor of an unmotivated student. In my notes, I referred to her as a “confidence boost tutor” because she found a way to take Emmie’s negativity and spin it into positivity. All of her comments, even when she was giving negative feedback, were introduced in a way that sounded positive and overall constructive. She made sure to ask tons of questions, even when it got super awkward at times, which helped the overall flow of the conversation. In my own tutor sessions, I think I am going to try to utilize some of Casey’s question asking habits. I especially liked how she remained positive throughout the entire session.
